June 30 League play moved to McPhee Center at UWEC

Due to the Osseo gym floor being redone, we will have to move the June 30 games ONLY to the McPhee Center on the UWEC upper campus. Next week we are back in Osseo.

League play for the Western Wisconsin Women’s Basketball League starts Thursday June 30

All games at Osseo Fairchild High School Gym- game times 6:00, 7:00, 8:00 and 9:00

Bring your own basketballs

Each team should have matching color jerseys with numbers

Rules:

20 minute halves- clock stops during time outs and last one minute of 2nd half only

Three minute halftime

Each team is allotted 2 – 30 second timeouts per half.

During the last 3 minutes of the game if the ref’s notice a team pulling

the ball out and not attacking the basket, they(the refs) will give the

offending team a verbal warning and if they continue to not attack the basket

the offending team will be called for “lack of action violation” and

the ball will be awarded to the defensive team

Overtime will be two minutes. The first minute will have a running clock and the last minute will

be stop-time on dead ball situations. Second OT will be sudden victory. One time out allowed

Double bonus on 10th foul( notice no bonus on 7th foul)

Only players on the roster (paid and signed)will be allowed to play each game.

Teams who wish to have a substitute, must first register with Chuck Gregorich and pay the Fee.

Players are allotted 5 fouls during the game. If a player receives their 5th foul and must stay in

the game for their team to have enough players, each foul that player receives after their 5th

will result in a technical foul.(one shot)

All players must address the referees, opponents and score keepers in a polite, adult manner.

This league promotes good sportsmanship!

Any fighting, be it physical or verbal, will result in suspension from the league. There will be no

refunds. No exceptions.

There will be no forfeits, if a team is short a few players, players from other teams will fill in.

A team that fails to show will be removed from the league in future years

Dear Coaches & Players:

The Western Wisconsin Women’s Basketball League for the summer of 2011 will give you or your players a chance to play competitive basketball on Thursday nights. We will do this again in 2011. Games will be played at Osseo Fairchild High School on Thursday nights. The High School is located in Osseo. This is about 20 minutes south of Eau Claire on I94.

Please spread the word to as many teams and players as possible!

The league will run for six weeks on Thursday nights, three in June, and three in July. Teams will play two games per night, for a total of 12 games. Gym space will be secured at Osseo Fairchild High School facility for all league nights.

Your team MUST ALL have NUMBERED jerseys, ALL OF THE SAME COLOR. Jerseys will not be provided.

Note: If your team does not have enough players in the area to make a full team, combine with another college team or I can place you to a mixed team. Alumni as well may form teams and participate!
